Summary of Position
The Cleaner role involves providing effective and timely cleaning services to ensure all Church properties—including Mayfield House, The Fields, the Ministry Centre, and the Church—are excellently presented. Key responsibilities include weekly cleaning of public areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and all rooms, fortnightly cleaning of the upstairs hall, and occasional tasks like steam cleaning carpets or washing windows. The employee may also undertake minor maintenance jobs (e.g., changing light bulbs) within their capabilities.

The Cleaner is Accountable to the Property and Finance Team (PFT) and is expected to be an active Church Member who regularly attends services. The position has strict safety requirements, including a current Working With Children Check (WWCC), a Police Check, and completion of various safety training modules. Furthermore, the individual must demonstrate Christ-like character, competence, and be highly organised and enthusiastic in their work.

This is recognised as a part-time position of 3 days per week, though is offered at a full-time load of 5 days a week if the applicant is a pastor:

- Payment would be based on level of experience and above minimum rates set by the Australian Government Fair Works Ombudsman for cleaners.
