Mayfield Baptist Church is looking for a passionate leader who is enthusiastic to see all ages connect with God, grow to be more like Jesus, and excited to serve here and beyond MBC.

At Mayfield Baptist Church we celebrate a rich history that spans nearly a century, fostering a vibrant, multi-generational community where individuals of all ages—ranging from newborns to those over 90—come together in faith and fellowship. As we look ahead to our 100th anniversary in the next two years, we are excited about the opportunities God has in store for us in this new season.

MBC embraces a unique flat leadership model, which means we do not operate under a single senior pastor. Instead, we are guided by our Church Leadership Team and Eldership. This structure allows us to harness a diverse array of skills and perspectives, enhancing our mission and vision. Each staff role is intentionally created to align with our core values, fostering collaboration and inclusivity within our church community.

Currently, we provide our main morning service from 10 AM on Sunday. Our worship services are aimed to build upon our existing culture, inspiring individuals to deepen their faith, engage with one another, and find themselves amongst our community through both serving opportunities and our connect groups.

Summary of Position

The Worship Pastor is responsible for overseeing Sunday services, coordinating logistics with the service team, preparing and presenting Biblical messages, and creating preaching schedules and service content, all to ensure alignment with the church’s vision, missions, and focuses.

The Worship Pastor is also responsible for leading, developing, and maintaining the Member Care Team this includes caring for those in need within our community and facilitating community connections for newcomers.

This is recognised as a part-time position of 2.5 days per week and is offered as a pastoral role:

- As a pastoral position, the salary would equate with the benefits and pay as outlined within the NSW & ACT Baptist Pay Recommendations
