Our Purpose

At Mayfield Baptist Church we feel that God has called us as a church to be:

“Seeking to awaken hearts, renew minds, and strengthen faith in Christ” ​

We do this through our purpose to:

We want to stay the course and bring vision to reality. We, therefore, believe that the following framework will strengthen, support, and directs us, in both life and ministry, in ensuring that we will be all that God asks us to be.

We have been encouraged to understand this purpose through Scripture, which reminds us to make followers of Jesus Christ as we share His good news with the world so that others may come into a saving relationship with Him. It is about a growing excitement that creates a passion in how we live our life, faithfully worshipping and serving our Lord Jesus Christ as represented in Colossians 1:27-29:

Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it! Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of truth. It has become my inspiration and passion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity, with his power flowing through me, to present to every believer the revelation of being his perfect one in Jesus Christ.
